Step By Step Process Of Replacing Your Canon Printer Ink Cartridges
You may find that the quality of printing deteriorates, as the Canon Printer Ink Cartridges begin to run low. Isn’t?
At this point, it is better to replace the ink cartridge or get it refilled. Replacing the cartridge of your printer is not a difficult task at all. All it requires is a little technological know- how.
In the following write up, we will talk about how you can effectively step- by- step replace your printer cartridge.
The first step is to turn your Canon printer on and raise the lid located on the front. This will cause the carrier of the cartridge to centre so that you can easily access it. The next thing to do is prepare your newly purchased ink cartridge for the installation process by removing it from its box. Take the cartridge’s orange protective cap off and tape on the ink opening.
The ink opening is located mostly on the bottom of the cartridge.
You should now set the prepared cartridge on a paper plate in order to ensure that the ink doesn’t get on your desktop, carpet or any other important document of yours.
After this process, you should remove the old cartridge from your Canon Printer by simply lifting the small green lever on the cartridge carrier. Take a note of how exactly the cartridge is situated in the carrier.
This will help you in putting the new cartridge back in the carrier.
You can now take the old cartridge out of the printer gently. The next step is to place the new cartridge in the printer. This process needs to be done very carefully and for that you need to make sure that it is facing in the similar direction as the previous cartridge. This process will need a gentle, yet steady push of the new cartridge into your Canon Printer’s carrier.
The cartridge isn’t in till the time you hear it pop into place.
Finally, push the green lever back to close it and properly close the door of the printer.
The process of replacing the cartridge is not that difficult, still there are a few precautions you need to take while performing this process.
- Do not touch the supply port of your cartridge or its surrounding area, as the valve in the ink supply port is designed to contain excess amount of ink that may be released.
- If a cartridge becomes empty, you can’t continue to copy it, even if the other cartridge has some ink. Therefore, you should replace the empty cartridge before copying.
- Do not refill the cartridges; rather replace it with a new one.
- After replacing the cartridge, if the ink is low, it might become empty. So as soon as the message indicating the low ink appears in front of you, prepare a new cartridge for your printer.
